Brocks' Kids Archery Club
Finally it’s here & ready to book!
If your child loves the outdoors, trying new activities & enjoys making new friends then this could be the club for them! No experience in Archery is needed to join so beginners are welcome.
This club will start on Saturday 23rd March at 9.20am until 10.20am, running weekly for 6 weeks, last session is 27th April.
There are 12 places available atĀ Ā£75 per child for the 6 weeks. Full payment is expected at the time of booking.
What will my child learn? I’m glad you asked!
- How to load & shoot a recurve bow & arrow
- How to improve aim & accuracy through different shooting styles
- Archery etiquette on the range
- How to set up a bow and check the safety of all equipment
- Participate in games every session to see improvements!
- Try their hand at shooting moving targets
All of the above is not limited to what they will take away from these sessions & learn. A certificate will be awarded at the end of the 6 weeks to recognise all their hard work & efforts!
Do IĀ need to stay with my child whilst they take part?
Yes, an adult must be onsite with their child participating.
There will be a gazebo set up for spectators to sit in with tea & coffee available!
Who will be teaching this club?
Billie will be taking these sessions – you might have already met this friendly face!
She is a GB Archery trained instructor with years of experience teaching Archery to children. She holds an enhanced DBS check, has completed Child Protection in sport and physical activity & is first aid trained. You can relax knowing your child is in safe hands whilst they learn a new skill.
What abilities & ages can join?
This club will be aimed at ages 6-11 years old for all abilities in Archery!
If you were hoping to enroll your child who is older than 11 please sign up to our newsletter below as we will be holding an Archery club for ages 12-16 in the summer!
What will my child need?
We will supply all the Archery equipment needed.
They will need to wear comfortable clothing, bring waterproofs in case & be wearing closed-toe shoes.
A consent form will need to be filled out before club starts, this is done online and you will be sent the link upon booking.
Can I bring my dog whilst I supervise?
Yes! As long as your fur-baby is friendly,Ā on their lead at all times & cleaned up after, they are welcome š¶
Do you have toilets onsite?
Yes, there is a compost loo onsite for visitors convenience.
What if my child can’t make all the dates?
It’s not a problem if your child can’t make 1 or 2 sessions due to other commitments (please let us know this in advance if you can) however we cannot offer a discount for this or money back so please bear that in mind before booking.
Of course it would be better if they can come to all 6 sessions to get the most out of the club but we understand that life happens!
